The brand-new electric chain hoist LP500 of the Swiss manufacturer GIS calls attention by its performance data. It convinces through a modular assembly and with 60% higher lifting capacity than the D8-motor. The two-stage transmission with helical gearing ensures very quiet running at max. 65dB. Due to protection class IP65 as standard, it is predestined for mobile outdoor use. The second brake for the D8-Plus-Motor can be assembled on the shaft without housing extension. Due to shaft-hub-connections in polygonal-design, maintenance is carried out quickly, easily and without special tools. The warranty for new purchases is now 3 years.

Profile steel chain
The case-hardened and manganese phosphated profile steel chain provides about 15% more capacity at an identical nominal diameter compared to the round steel chain. The higher cross-sectional area reduces wear and increases the lifetime of the chain.

3-stage self-contained gear
All LP electric chain hoists are equipped with a 3-stage self-contained gear. The helical gearing with geometrical optimization ensures extremely quiet running. This allows the handling of loads during events. Thanks to the protection provided by the cover and housing the sound pressure level of the LP is only 65 dB. This makes it one of the quietest motors available on the market.

Easy to maintain
Motor with permanent grease lubrication, proven DC spring-loaded brake and dry-running slipping clutch.
The second independent DC spring-loaded brake for the D8-plus-design can be assembled on the present shaft without using a housing extension.

Polygonal connections
A real innovation is hidden inside the chain hoist. All shaft-hub connections are built to a polygonal design. This allows significantly faster disassembly and assembly during maintenance and reduces service costs.

Protection class IP65
A feature of the hoist is the protection class IP65. It is dust proof and protected against water jets. The LP is perfectly suitable for outside use, even under the most difficult conditions.
On open-air events or on concert tours, the rigger will appreciate the weather resistance and reliability of this electric chain hoist.

Path & load measurement options
For both path and load measuement, additional components and electrical parts can be easily integrated in the chain hoist. On the drive shaft and/or the chain wheel, the installation of incremental or absolute encoders is prepared for path measurement. Special eyebolt and hook suspensions allow easy installation of a load measuring pin for load measurement.
